The cute diaper bag with a cause
June 28, 2007
Celebrity parents like Patrick Dempsey and Marcia Cross have discovered a way to make their hectic lives with twins a little easier. BabyDish, the company responsible for
BabyBeReady Diaper Bag Survival Kits (whose celeb following includes Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner and Gwyneth Paltrow), has created a new bag that is stocked with all the essentials you need to take your baby — or babies! — out for the day.
But besides looking stylish, the Jacob’s Cure Smiley Bag (shown here with its creators, Jordana Holovach, Jacobs Cure Founder & mom of Jacob, and Stacie Mindich-Jordan, president of BabyDish) is also practical. This happy bag contains a bottle, changing pad, burp cloth, pacifier & case, onesie, sun hat, diapers, a rattle, travel wipes and a bib. Having a bag fully-stocked definitely makes leaving the house a little less hectic!
You can also feel good in knowing that the 40% of the $50 price tag goes towards Jacob’s Cure, a charity responsible for finding a cure for a rare neurological disorder called Canavan disease.
Stacie Mindich-Jordan, a mother of two and founder of BabyDish, became interested in the cause after meeting 10-year-old Jacob Sontag, who lives with Canavan disease. This brave boy is in a wheelchair and unable to speak, but inspired Stacie with his “thousand-watt smile.” Children with this disease usually do not live past the first decade of life and cannot walk or talk, and eventually have difficult seeing and swallowing.
So why not embrace your altruistic side and get a cute bag in the process? Pick up your very own Jacob’s Cure Smiley Bag at select stores and at www.babydish.com.
